I specialize in working with complex trauma, anxiety, stress, life satisfaction, parenting, relationship problems, postpartum adjustments, major life transitions, spirituality, chronic pain and health related issues, ADHD, grief and depression, bipolar, attachment wounds, individuals with dyslexia and other learning disabilities, and people on the autism spectrum or with partners on the autism spectrum. I have expertise in and enjoy working with young people, adults, and couples.

I will help you come through your struggles in a new way, one that allows you to finally feel in control of your experiencing. You will feel warmly supported in your journey through whatever emotions or memories need to be faced.

I believe therapy is not about changing you into a different person, but forming new relationships with the parts of yourself that hurt and have been hurt.  It is about helping you to find optimal functioning for your unique life and about being able to express and celebrate who you truly, authentically are inside!

My treatment approach is grounded on the principle that experience is continually in process and that human potential is always more than our conclusions. Therapy is a process of unfolding experiences new and old where we walk a path together of reconnecting with the self (including past/present/future) in a new way. While I am confident in the knowledge and skills gained through my experience and training, I consider you, the client, the best source of understanding in your unique process.

I was trained in existential-phenomenological (E-P) psychology, which is a humanistic, person-centered approach. Often people find themselves caught in cycles of repeating painful themes in their lives. The E-P approach assumes that we all do what we do for a reason, that behaviors and feelings persist because they function for us in some way. Unwinding this process of perpetuation is therefore one of the steps towards healing.

I am openly affirming of all people from all walks, religions, sexual orientations, genders, etc. You are welcome here!
